ETIOLOGY OR LIFE HISTORY

HYPERTROPHY

A single cell enlargement.

HYPERPLASIA

Abnormal cell division is known as hyperplasia.

CONTROL MEASURE

Synchytrium is a obligate parasite. The control measure are as follow.
  • Field sanitation
  • Used of resistance variety
  • Chemical treatment
In this method fungicides are used.
Ex:- Bordeaux's mixture(France discovery)
The mixture has CuSo4:Ca(OH)2 in 4:4.

OTHER FUNGICIDE ARE

Cu dust, sulphur dust, Hgcl2, Straptomycine, Tetramycine etc.
