GLYCOLYSIS | CELLULAR RESPIRATION

The process of cellular respiration started from glucose sugar. This process is completed in cytoplasm. The process by which formation of pyruvic acid from the breaking down of glucose is called glycolysis. This chemical activity is similiar in both aerobic and anaerobic respiration. It is also called E.M.P pathway. For this process there is not necessary of presence and absence of oxygen. If oxygen is present then pyruvic acid breakdown into CO2 and H2O. This process is  completed in mitochondria by kreb's cycle or TCA cycle or citric acid cycle. If oxygen is absent then pyruvic acid breaks down into CO2 and ethylalcohal by the process of fermentation or aerobic respiration. The process of glycolysis completed in following step.

Photophosphorylation:

The process started from glucose. One molecule of glucose with one molecule of A.T.P in presence of enzyme Hexokinase change into glucose 6 phosphate.

ISOMERISATION:

In the presence of phosphohexoisomerase Glucose 6 phosphate change into Fructose 6 phosphate.

SECOND PHOSPHORYLATION:

Fructose 6 phosphate with 1 molecule of A.T.P in presence of enzyme phosphofructokinase change into fructo2,6diphosphate.

CLEAVAGE:

Fructose 1,6 diphosphate in presence of enzyme Triose phosphate isomerase change into its isomers as dihydoxy acetone phosphate.

ISOMERISATION:

3phosphoglyceraldehyde in presence of enzyme Triose phosphate isomerase change into its isomers as dihydroxy acetone phosphate.

PHOSPHORYLATION AND OXIDATIVE DEHYDROGENATION:

3phosphoglyceraldehyde react with two molecule of H3PO4 to farm 1,3diphosphoglyceraldehyde. 1,3diphosphoglyceraldehyde with two molecule of NAD in presence of enzyme dephosphoglyceraldehyde dihydrogenase to farmof 1,3diphosphoglyceric acid and two molecule of NADPH2.

FIRST ATP GENERATION:

1,3diphosphoglyceric acid combined with 2 molecule of A.D.P in presence of enzyme phosphoglyceric acid kinase to farm 3phosphoglyceric acid and two A.T.P.

ISOMERISATION:

3phosphoglyceric acid in presence of enzyme phosphoglyceromutase change into 2phospho glyceric acid.

DEHYDROGENATION:

2phosphoglyceric acid in presence of enzyme enolase to farm 2phosphoenol pyruvic acid and also realeased two molecule of H2O.

SECOND ATP GENERATION:

2phosphoenol pyruvic acid in presence of enzyme pyruvic acid kinase with 2mole of A.D.P to farm 2 molecule of A.T.P
