What is noise pollution?


Various kinds of undesirable loud sounds, which disturb our environment are called noise Pollutants.

Noise pollution is produced by loud sound of various machines, loudly played transistors, radio, thundering of jet plane, automobile etc. The intensity of noise is measured in decibels(db). The bearable limit of noise in human beings is about 140db.

Noise has an adverse effect on mind, health and behavior of man. It increases nervous tensions, blood pressure and heart trouble. Noise also causes physical discomfort and temporary or permanent damage to our hearing capacity.

Causes of Noise pollution:- 



  • Traffic noise
  • Air craft noise
  • Noise from construction and civil engineering works.
  • Noise from the industries.
  • Noise from other sources.

Effect of noise pollution:-



  • Hearing loss
  • High blood pressure
  • Stress
  • Sleep disturbance
  • Color blindness

How to avoid noise pollution:-


  • Government should ensure that, the new machine should be noise proof.
  • Air ports must be away from residential area.
  • The sound horn symbol is to be in school roads.

Prevention of noise pollution:-


  • Plesent home
  • We need to talk sweetly to others.
  • Talk less work more.
  • Sound effects our ears so loud noise should be avoided.
