Respiration is a process by which the organic materials breaks down or oxidised in to CO2 and H2O and also energy realeased.
C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O
TYPES OF RESPIRATION:
Respiration are two types.
1) AEROBIC RESPIRATION:
The process of respiration is completed prescence of free oxygen called respiration and the living being which envolve in this process called aerobs. In this process maximum energy produced.
2) ANAEROBIC RESPIRATION:
The process of respiration which completed in absence of oxygen is called anaerobic respiration and related living being called anaerobs. In this process incomplete oxidation of food materials takes place and CO2 and ethyl alcohal farmed and small amount of energy produced.
The process completed in bacteria and some fungus.
- Release of energy
- Synthesis of ATP
- Stepwise release of energy
- Growth and development
- Energy for biosynthesis
- Role of intermediate
- Balance of CO2 and O2.
- Fermentation
